welcome to red string theory!
it's about things i like and the things i think about things i like.
about this substack.
this is red string theory, a space for me to write about stuff so i’m not annoying my friends by sending them 500 discrete messages on the subject. instead, if my friends are nice to me, they will subscribe to this and then receive just one email any time i’m in the mood to ramble. lucky them!
i’m a final-year PhD student at the university of aberdeen, currently based in the german and film departments. my PhD thesis is focused on the documentaries of GDR filmmakers walter heynowski and gerhard scheumann, specifically their anti-vietnam war films.
